Welcome to NeonPawz K-9 Academy

When most people imagine life with a dog, they picture fetch at the park, long walks, a loyal protector, a lifelong companion. You pick the dog that feels right, a roly-poly puppy, a shy adolescent, a gentle senior ready for a fresh start and bring them home full of excitement.

Then, a few weeks or months in, the challenges show up: leash pulling, barking, jumping on guests, destructive habits, bolting through open doors. Excitement turns into stress. Most owners blame themselves, or assume their dog is stubborn or untrainable. In reality, these struggles are usually the result of miscommunication, unmet needs, or simply not knowing what to expect from a dog's breed, age, or temperament. Life gets busy. Routines change. You don't know what you don't know.

"Yeah, I train dogs but I also educate humans. Training only works when you work both ends of the leash." — Morgan

Morgan's love for animals started young: dogs, cats, horses, birds, rats, snakes, she loved them all but dogs were always the focus. At 8 years old, her family adopted a Yorkshire Terrier, and she attended his basic training classes alongside her parents. That's where she found her real passion.

From there, every dog she raised took her further: Sampson the Yorkshire Terrier taught her the basics. Abba, the family's strong-willed American Eskimo, pushed her into advanced training. Romeo, her own Shepherd mix as a young adult, introduced her to the world of therapy and service dog work. And now, with her newest companion, Badugi, a Belgin Malinois mix by her side, Morgan is continuing the journey that began decades ago: turning her lifelong love for dogs into her calling. Through NeonPawz K-9 Academy, she is dedicated to sharing her experience, knowledge, and passion with dogs and their families.

Morgan has now worked alongside dogs for almost 20 years starting in the kennels of an animal hospital, working her way up to receptionist and veterinary medical assistant, all while pursuing training on the side through board-and-train facilities and long-term fostering of service dogs specializing in public access work.

That range -personal, professional, and specialized- is what makes Morgan the right fit for you and your dog. She knows no two dog-and-human teams are the same, and she draws on a broad range of knowledge, experience and training methods to meet each team where they are.
